Drug Traffic, Two Albanian Arrested in Greece

The attempt of two Albanian citizens to smuggle 214 kg of cannabis sativa to Greece ended unsuccessfully. They were arrested in flagrance on Friday by the Greek police close to Vasiliko village while transporting the large narcotics quantity in a van. The arrested Albanians, respectively 49 years and 38 years old, have not been revealed by the police. 

Sources informed albaniannews.com that the elder Albanian was arrested while driving the narcotics loaded van while the 2nd one was driving a smaller vehicle monitoring the movements on the road. 

They will now be prosecuted on grounds of narcotics possession and trafficking. Greek police opened an inquiry for a full clarification of the narcotics quantity origin and destination.
