Some 30 kg of Cannabis Sativa were seized on Saturday by Gjirokastra Police in cooperation with Tepelena police forces at the end of a raid coded “Start”. One person was arrested in flagrance by the police while in possession of the narcotics quantity. Ivzi Sada, 54, arrest was based on confidential information obtained by the police agents for the existence of the above mentioned narcotics quantity in his house. The narcotics seizure by the police was followed by Sada’s violent reaction. He punched a police officer on the face before being handcuffed by his colleagues. His son, E.S. 21, was also declared wanted by the police for complicity in narcotics cultivation and distribution. 

Sada will now be prosecuted on grounds of narcotics possession and resistance to the arrest.
