Some 97 kg of Cannabis Sativa were seized by the police in the last 12 hours during a number of anti-narcotics raids in the entire territory. Five persons were arrested as part of these raids in Vlora, Lezha and Mat.

A Vlora police raid dubbed “West”, led to the seizure of 80 kg of Cannabis Sativa and the arrest of Spiro Tupa, 62. Police officer inspection in Tupa’s house was based on confidential information previously obtained by the agents. The narcotics quantity was found in a number of plastic bags, ready to be delivered to the distributers.

Meantime Mat police successfully finalized a raid dubbed “Last Minute” seizing 6 kilogram of Cannabis Sativa and arrested three persons in flagrance while trying to sell the narcotics quantity. Alfred Dedja, 30, Jurgen Alzeneli, 21, K.K. 18, were arrested during this police raid.

The remaining quantity of 11 Kg of Cannabis Sativa was seized in Lezha, leading to the arrest of Fatmir Gjonikaj, 28.
