Greek police seized on Wednesday a quantity of 37 Kg of Cannabis Sativa in proximity of the Albanian-Greek border. Igumenica police officers stopped a vehicle driving in a road-cross close to Parga but the driver managed to elude capture by abandoning the vehicle and fleeing the scene. He was immediately declared wanted by the police.

A minute inspection of the vehicle unveiled the large quantity of narcotics. This is not the first time that traffickers abandon their merchandise while trying to elude capture by the police.

Greek police is conducting an inquiry aiming to uncover the origin and destination of the seized narcotics quantity.
