President of the Republic, Bujar Nishani extended a congratulatory message on Wednesday to the newly elected President of the European Parliament (EP), Antonio Tajani. Through his message the head of state expressed the confidence that Tajani will successfully address the current challenges faces by EP.

“European integration remains Albania’s major strategic objective. I ensure you that Albanian institutions are committed toward fulfillment within shortest period of time the key priorities that clear the path to the opening of accession negotiations,” said Nishani.

A message of congratulation to EP president Tajani was also extended by the leader of the opposition, Lulzim Basha. The last defined Tajani a friend that will assist the acceleration of Albania’s European integration.
