While the entire country is being engulfed by a wave of extreme cold weather Prime Minister, Edi Rama summoned on Tuesday a meeting of the Operational Office for an analysis of the situation. The last declared that latest information from the terrain evidence the efficiency of the measures taken to cope with this unusual situation. PM Rama thanked particularly the Minister of Transports, Sokol Dervishaj for his non-stop presence in the most problematic areas monitoring the measures implementation.

“The lack of coordination has been the major problem during similar situations in the past. Despite the maximal efforts by the state structures the absence of such key element lowered the measures efficiency, failing to relieve the citizens’ burden. I want to thank the Minister of Transports, Dervishaj for his continuous presence in the most problematic areas. A special thanks to the Energy Power Distribution Operators (OSHEE) technicians that work under the harshest conditions in the rural areas,” said the chief of executive, adding that situation in the entire territory continues to be closely monitored by the government.
