Democratic Party (DP) considered a highly worrisome act the arrest of Kosovo political party Alliance for Kosovo Future (AKF), Rramush Haradinaj in France. 

This political force considered even more worrisome the fact that Haradinaj’s arrest was based on an arrest-warrant issued 12 years ago by Serbian authorities, based on his activity in the war for Kosovo liberation.

“Mr. Haradinaj and other commanders of Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) faced with dignity the international justice and were given a non-culpability verdict. Neither Haradinaj nor any other fighter for Kosovo freedom has ever feared or avoided justice. They have even welcomed every kind of inquiry to prove purity of war for Kosovo liberation,” declared DP.

While expressing the confidence on the fact that an independent European justice can’t fail to honor the heroes fighting for their people’s freedom DP urges the French authorities to resolve as soon as possible this situation, stressing that similar bureaucratic and rudimentary procedures infringe one of the most brilliant pages of our history, Kosovo freedom and independence.
