Prosecution Requires Fingerprints for 15 Ministers, MPs and Mayors

General Prosecution has submitted a request for the verification through fingerprints of senior and medium levels officials, which are subject to the Decriminalization Law. This verification is principally linked to the name’ changing, local media report. 

Despite the fact that these officials failed to mention this element in their self-declaration form information obtained in other forms proved that they were the same people. 

Prosecution informed that the answers for some of the subjects have already arrived and the process is already underway. Meanwhile the inquirers are still waiting the conclusions for the remaining officials. 

A total of 570 officials are currently being verified by the Prosecution General. This list includes 20 senior officials, MPs or local authorities’ representatives. The majority of these names have been given by the Public Administration Department, on view of the fact that they have the largest number of subjects that present a self-declaration form.
