The Democratic Party (DP) leader, Lulzim Basha, declared for the media that the operation against gambling aimed to take the gambling industry under the control of Edi Rama and his relatives.

“The gambling law has not been implemented in the past three years, and this has been intentional. Rama has the reins of gambling in his hands and he has no interest to implement the law,” Basha said.

The DP leader added that the governing scheme of Edi Rama is simple: “Take money from the ordinary people and give it to the rich.”

“He pays 3 million USD for facades of buildings, but he pays 10 million less for schools. This is the scheme of the Rama government. This will not stop if Edi Rama doesn’t go away,” Basha said.
