The European Union takes good note of Constitutional Court ruling on Thursday declaring the Vetting Law in line with the Albanian constitution.

In a short statement, the EU encourages the Albanian authorities to start swiftly with the implementation of the evaluation of judges and prosecutors. 

"This is essential for the advancement of Albania's EU-accession process and long awaited by the Albanian citizens. The European Commission will support Albania in conducting a thorough and credible vetting process by leading the International Monitoring Operation," ends the statement.
