SMI Appeals EU Integration Main Priority of Political Class

The SMI chairman invited political leaders to behave with responsibility and more constructively because Albania needed important decisions at the moment

TIRANA – Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) leader Ilir Meta has urged the political class in the country to set aside narrow party interests and meet the EU integration aspirations of Albanian citizens. Meta attended on Friday a meeting with the SMI youth forum branch in Fier.
Unveiling the SMI priorities on education and employment of youths, Meta said that it was high time the political class in the country recovered lost time concerning the EU integration drive.
The SMI chairman invited political leaders to behave with responsibility and more constructively because Albania needed important decisions at the moment. He said that Albania shouldn’t be penalized further due to the narrow party interests. Meta stated that SMI would continue to focus its energies on the EU integration of the country.

SMI Pays No Attention to Edi Rama

“SMI is paying no attention to what Socialist Party leader says,” SMI General Secretary Luan Rama declared on Friday following the declaration of SP’s Edi Rama that he would win 71 seats in parliament without SMI.
SMI’s Rama declared that Edi Rama was dreaming in an attempt to make up for the consecutive defeats. SMI General Secretary confirmed that his party placed its energies on the EU integration of Albania.
