SMI’s Meta Determined to Offer Maximal Support to EU Integration Drive

TIRANA – Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) leader Ilir Meta has become a member of the parliament’s integration standing committee.
“Lawmakers in parliament approved the procedure for MP Ilir Meta to become a member of the EU integration standing committee,” a press statement by Parliament’s press office said.
Socialist Movement for Integration is determined to offer maximal contribution to Albania’s EU integration, something which is crucial to the party program. SMI leader Ilir Meta announced in a press conference two weeks ago his decision to join the parliamentary integration committee. Meta had chaired the integration committee in the past. He said that he had presented a request to Speaker Jozefina Topalli to become a member of the integration committee.
“EU integration should remain the main challenge for all of us. That is a top priority for SMI and me,” Meta said.
