Albania has the lowest costs per hour of work in
Europe. According to Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, the
average cost per hour of work in the European Union Countries is 24 euro, while
in Albania, only 2.2 euro.
The data shows that even in the Balkan region, the
cost of labor is on average two times higher than in Albania with 4.4 euro per
working hour. Low cost of labor makes interesting place for foreign investment,
but this is not considered a good indicator for the average income of a family
