The Public Procurement Commission changed the
results of the Durres-Kukes maintenance bid. This Commission disqualified the
consortium led by the Turkish company, “Vendeka Bilgi”, and declared the second
company as winner, a consortium made of Albanian companies.
The bid was held two months ago by the Ministry of
Transport. After the procedure, the Ministry declared a Turkish-Indonesian
company as winner. But the decision was opposed by the consortium that was
listed second, which appealed it at the Procurement Commission.
According to this consortium, the company listed
first and declared a winner did not complete the legal criteria and had offered
a higher price to be paid by the budget and the Albanian citizens.
The Procurement Commission found this complaint
valid and decided to change the results declared by the Ministry. The winners
is now the Albanian consortium made of “Kastrati” and “Salillari”. Their bid
was EURO 8 Million lower.
