Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Waters Administration, Edmond Panariti presented this sector development figures during first semester of 2016. During a press conference on Wednesday he underlined that the agriculture sector growth is higher compared to the past year.
“The published data refer to the agricultural exports, based on the volume of the merchandise that goes through the customs and expressed through measures production units. This report includes also the agriculture production indicators measures in the terrain.
A fact that catches the eye from such examination is the comprehensive development of this sector in three main columns: field plants, farming and fishing.
“The agriculture products exports show an evident increase compared to the past year. Fruits exportation has been duplicated, from 2071 tons in June 2015 to 5.058 tons in June 2016. Vegetables export increased by 28%, potatoes by 2.4 % more compared to the past year, onions export by 80%. Farming products exports also show an evident increase compared to the past yea” said Panariti.
