Use of Cash in Banking System Drops

 The Bank of Albania has noticed that the value of actions in cash from the banking system in the end of 2015 resulted four percent lower than in 2014, where the payments were also 36 percent lower than in 2013.

Experts say that technological developments have significantly reduced cash transactions in banks.

Analyzing progress from 2009, it is noticed that cash payments from actions in bank counters have increased until 2012, when the value of cash payments reached to 4.3 trillion Leks.

After this year, cash payments have continued to drop systematically.
