Albania - Kosovo Interconnection, PM Rama: Strategic Project

The new interconnection line between Albania and Kosovo was inaugurated on Tuesday through an official ceremony. This ceremony was attended by the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, the Kosovo Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, the Minister of Energy and Industry, Damian Gjiknuri and other personalities.

During his speech Prime Minister Rama considered the interconnection line a strategic project for the mutual development and the national unification seen from the new siècle point of view.

“Today we may proudly admire the joint work done during last 33 months for the creation of a solid base of a real unification of the energies and capacities. The interconnection line is a clear proof of our awareness for this great potential” said PM Rama.

Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa praised the interconnection line project underlining the importance for both countries due to the largely positive influence in the people’s life.

The interconnection line has an extension of 245.5 km, from which 90 km belong to Kosovo while the remaining 155.5 km belong to Albania.
