Bozdo said that IMF has stated that high progressive tax policy has failed completely and corrupt concessions are suffocating the economy while he added that Rama is boasting with an investor and a project that started at the time of the previous government.

The Opposition had an immediate reaction to the statements of PM Edi Rama through the Democratic Party’s Secretary Enno Bozdo who declared that the foreign investors are actually leaving the country because of increased taxes and a deterioration of the business climate.

“Rama likes showing off but the truth is that as a result of the increasing taxes and deterioration of the business climate, the big investors have abandoned the country. Foreign Direct Investments have fallen by 40% this year. German and American Chambers of Commerce have stated that the business climate continues to deteriorate,” Bozdo declared.

On the other hand, he said that IMF has stated that high progressive tax policy has failed completely and corrupt concessions are suffocating the economy. Further on, he said that Rama is boasting with an investor and a project that started at the time of the previous government.

“In the sector of the hydrocarbons, the company Bankers was forced by this government to suspend production and at the end leave the country. Many other multinationals have closed their offices and are walking away rapidly from Albania,’ DP’s Bozdo said.

On the other hand, Bozdo said that the Democratic Party fully encourages and fully supports SHELL Company for investment and trust it has in the success of the project, but he noted that only the removal of Rama will enable the arrival of investors and turn Albania into an attractive country for foreign investments.
