The Foreign Minister of Greece, Niko Kotzias, during an interview on Monday, said that Europe should keep its word for Albania and Macedonia.
According to him, they should open negotiations with these countries in June 28-29 summit.
"I have told my counterparts to be as strict as they want, but we cannot block the perspective. If one of these countries starts negotiations, let's say that Albania is left out, it would create a state of instability in the region. Now we have reached this point and Europe must keep the given word. Germany should be more open to Macron's proposals, and the French side must agree to open negotiations. We should not split, but promote the European vision," said Kotzias.
He was expressed optimistic and regarding the oppositions, he added that are destabilizing factors, and that it should not happen because the governments will not survive.
