President of Albania, Ilir Meta, said on Tuesday that our foreign policy should not interfere with daily politics. In a meeting with the council of Albanian ambassadors, headed by former Foreign Minister, Besnik Mustafaj, Meta said that Albanian foreign policy should be mature and focused on stable national interests and should be built upon long-term credibility towards our allies and partners.
The aim of this meeting was to make himself familiar with the mission and program of this organization, which was founded by a group of former Albanian ambassadors. Another aim of this meeting was the collaboration with the Presidency, in function of Albania's foreign policy.
"The creation of this council is a precious initiative, which will help with its contribute, experience and professional counseling in important matters of foreign politics," said president Meta.
The overwhelming presence of many personalities of diplomacy and international relations is a guarantee for the affirmation of the Council of Ambassadors as an independent and nationally oriented forum.
