Greece, 3 Albanians Arrested for Burglary Escaped

Three Albanian citizens convicted of robbery and burglary, arrested on June 13, escaped from the cells of the Argyroupolis Police Department.
They managed to saw up irons of the detention toilet, around 6:30 a.m. this Tuesday, to later jump from a distance of 10 meters.
Albanians were spotted by police officers, who tried to stop them, but without success, as they managed to cross the fence and escape.
They were arrested 6 days ago, as members of a gang responsible for over 70 cases of theft in Attica County, with a total of over EUR 400,000 gained by these illegal actions.
Head of the Police Officers Union in South East Attica, Giorgios Kalliakmanis, said that "their Union had noted the bad conditions of the building that sheltered the Security Department, and that they had denounced the problems of the Police Directorate of Southeast Attica"
