The General Director of Civil Emergencies, Shemsi Prençi, fears the flooding situation in Shkodra will get worse.
During a meeting with the staff in the Prefecture on Tuesday, he warned about an alarming situation in this city on the days to come.
According to him, the situation is expected to get worsen with the increase of the water level in Drin river.
"Shkodra should be prepared for two scenarios, that of a sustainable state of flooding, but also of further worsening situation. The second one will depend on the precipitation that includes the Drin River basin, as only on Monday evening, flows have gone to over 2400 m3 per second," declared Prenci.
In Obot village citizens can only move with a boat and there are about 150 houses surrounded by water.
