Eurostat: Albania Has Lowest Minimum Wage

According to Eurostat, Albania has the lowest minimal wage in Europe, only 180 EUR. Serbia has a minimum wage of 285.4 EUR, while Luxemburg has the highest, of 1998.5 EUR. Only 22 out of 28 EU countries have a minimum wage, varying from 500 EUR to more than 1000.
Eurostat noted that EU states with 400-500 EUR of the minimum wage are in Eastern Europe, such as Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Estonia and Latvia.
Northeastern EU states have a minimum wage starting from 1400 Euros and up, including Britain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Ireland and Luxemburg.
Southern European EU members, such as Spain and Portugal, have a minimum wage from 600 to 900 EUR. In the USA, the minimum wage in January 2018 was 1048 EUR.
