UEFA Vice President Grigor Surkis calls for politics intervention avoidance in the Albanian Football Federation (AFF) General Assembly 7th meeting. The new president of Albanian football will be elected on Monday at the end of this meeting.
In a brief speech Surkis underlined that politics intervention would generate serious consequences for the electoral process.
“UEFA is fully informed about this electoral process and the pre-electoral climate. We have also been informed about the accusations and suspicions of politics involvement in this process. No similar intervention would be accepted by UEFA, thus I hope to see an intelligent response by AFF and equal conditions for the candidates. We want to see an democratic process where the winner’s success will be based on merits and will comply with UEFA status,” said Surkis.
