Tirana, Municipal Police to Be Trained by State Police

The Municipality of Tirana and State Police signed an agreement on Monday focused on municipal police training and professional qualification.

The course that will take place in the premises of the Police Academy will last several weeks and aims to increase the professional skills of employees in service to citizens.

The agreement was signed by State Police Academy director, Bilbil Mema and Mayor Erion Veliaj.
Referring to the municipal police activity Veliaj said that a close pursuit of the water reform implementation and the interruption of illicit connections remain a priority.

"Municipal police will play an important role in the water reform successful implementation in the capital. This professional training will further increase the quality of service provided to the citizens," said Veliaj.

He also declared that the avoidance of noises during night hours in various areas of the city will also be part of municipal police activity in the near future.
