The oil-workers protest arrears and unpaid social contribution issue may finally see a solution. The Minister of Finances and Economy, Arben Ahmetaj reacted on Wednesday over their latest threat to march again toward the capital suggesting a new solution for this issue.

He invited the oil-worker to submit an application in the employment offices asking to be given the status of unemployed in order to obtain a monthly payment from the state's budget.

"Dispositions have been given to the employment office in Fieri district to provide assistance to the Ballsh oil-refinery workers that may apply for the status of unemployed and immediately benefit a monthly payment by the state," declared Ahmetaj.

He also announced the opening of race for the investors willing to take over the oil refinery.
"The government remains firmly committed to support every serious investor that may present a business-plan for the oil-refinery reopening," said the minister.
