Majority sees the election of new Attorney General as the starting point for a national pact that would serve to country's European integration. On view of this attitude Prime Minister Edi Rama extended an appeal to the opposition's leader, Lulzim Basha inviting him to collaborate for the election of Adriatik Llalla's successor.
"I urge to the opposition to consider without any further delay the invitation to sit in a roundtable focused on the new Attorney General issue and sign a national pact for the Albania we want. This pact should include some joint steps that would serve to the country's European integration as a token of political parties' goodwill to place Albania above parties and the national agenda over the daily politics agenda," declared the chief of executive.
In conclusion he stressed that this would be a reasonable way of doing things instead of electing a new Attorney General only through majority's votes.
