The doctors of the Emergency in the 'Mother Teresa' hospital will review their decision taken early this Tuesday to resign.
After a meeting with the vice minister of Health, Mira Rakacolli, the chief of the department of the emergency, Edmond Zaimi said that none of his colleagues will resign as their duty is to treat the hospital’s patients.
"Resigning would be unthinkable as in worse conditions like in the crisis of ’97 , the specific department was willing and in full capacity to face the workload of the respective period. The resignation “card” was used in order to force the Hospital’s authorities to deal immediately and sufficiently with the problems that the doctor of the Emergency Department face," declared Zaimi.
Earlier in a public letter, all the doctors of the emergency department declared that they will resign because they cannot work in bad conditions.
