The leader of the opposition, Lulzim Basha raised his voice in the European People's Party Assembly on Monday against crime and drug trafficking in Albania, urging for the necessity of the creation of an anti-mafia government.
From Brussels, Basha said that the decision of Parliament to leave the immunity to the former Socialist Minister, Saimir Tahiri, accused for drugs trafficking showed the criminalization of politics.
"The only solution to come out this situation is to create an anti-mafia government to cut the connections between crime and politics. Only this government can prepare a real electoral reform which will bring the country to free and fair elections.
