Albanian Navy Ship 'Oriku' Ends Mission in Aegean Sea - Results

ALS Oriku is an Iliria-class patrol boat manned by 21 crew members
The Albanian Navy Ship 'Oriku' part of the Albanian Naval returned home after a year mission in the Aegean Sea part o the NATO operations.
This ship participates in dozens operations against illegal migration and helped 1000 persons from different nationalities that tried to pass in the European countries.
Defense Minister, Olta Xhacka, considered this mission as the best one.
"More than 1000 life saved due to the crew members of this ship. You had the maximum results," said minister Xhacka.
She added that Albania will prolong its stay in Aegean Sea with one year more, and soon the ship "Butrinti" will starts operation.
The Albanian navy joined it’s first-ever NATO maritime mission with the addition of ALS Oriku to Standing NATO Maritime a year ago. The vessel supported NATO activities in the Aegean Sea as part of the international efforts to stop illegal trafficking and migration.
