Some 62 driving permits were suspended on Wednesday during a large scale raid conducted by Tirana road police. This extreme penalty was imposed by the police patrols monitoring the vehicles circulation in Fushe Kruja - Kamza axis to drivers that exceeded the speed limits.

“All drivers, whose driving speed exceeded by 20 Km the speed limit, were immediately stopped by the police patrols. It is absolutely intolerable to drive with a 101 Km/h in a populated area putting the lives of pedestrians at risk. Similar controls will continue even during the next day in different axis of the capital. The goal is to prevent the loss of human lives due to someone’s careless driving,” the police reported.
