A prizes awarding ceremony dedicated to the best authors and translators finalized the 20th edition of Book’s Fair organized in the Palace of Congresses. The Author of the Year award was given to Betim Muço for his novel “Stars Are Near” by a jury composed from personalities of the Albanian literature for the in-depth and stylish stylistic and linguistic handling of the topic of immigration in the national context. This coveted prize was handed over to his sister due to the author’s premature death two years ago.
“Faik Konica, the light of a diplomat”, written by Agron Alibali was given the prize “Best survey’ in the field of original literature. Alibali presents in this work a Konica in all his dimensions through unknown documents, mostly published for the first time.
Meantime Diana Çuli won the “Best Translation” award for the translation of “Waiting for Happiness” written by Carmine Abate for the subtle literary taste and attractive language used during this process.
Persida Asllani also won a prize in this Book’s Fair. She was proclaimed winner in the field of original children's artistic literature with “Call me Musine Kokalari” novel.
