Tirana - Durres highway will soon present a new image to the travelers. A project drafted by the Municipality of Tirana foresees the replacement of palm trees planted along this national axis with pine trees.

This decision was announced through a report for some changes and funds reallocation of municipality’s budget 2017.

“The decorative trees planted along the Kamza overpass - Kashar segment, part of Tirana - Durres highway failed to adapt with climacteric conditions even due to the unusual aridness thus need to be replaced by other decorative trees. On view of this fact a fund of ALL 333.8 Million has been allocated for their replacement with pine trees,” informed the Municipality of Tirana.
