There are some reasons why four servicemen, part of commando forces deserted and leave the Albanian Army for England. The father of one of them, Aleksander Shkulaku, has a quick answer: my son was the best in the army, but he was paid only ALL 30.000.
The four servicemen part of commando forces were on a training mission in England, but have not returned to Albania at the conclusion of the training. Those are Ylber Tikrri, Aleksander Shkulaku, Klevis Lamkaj and Reni Ajazi.
They were supposed to return from the mission at the end of October, but this has not happened. The Ministry of Defense said that at the moment it was verified that the servicemen had not returned, the British authorities were notified. Further, the ministry filed a complaint at the prosecution.
"Aleksander was the best in the Army. He was in mission in Afghanistan. My son was never evaluated. His salary was ALL 29.000-31.500 and with this small salary he contributes in the family. We know that he was in England but we did not have any communication with him. He made a hasty action, I believe due to the economical situation," declared the father of Aleksander. He urged to his son to come home and contribute for the country.
