Cultural Monuments Status Given to 12 Protected Areas

Some 12 protected areas have been given the cultural monument status by the National Council of Restoration in accordance to a proposal made by the Institute of Monuments.
These areas, situated in proximity of a number of cultural heritage monuments, will be protected as public asset and as an integral part of the panorama and the natural landscape, which helps to preserve and evidence the cultural heritage.
These 12 protected areas join a list of 89 areas declared as monument of culture during a period of time from 2014 to 2017 by the Institute of Monuments and the Ministry of Culture.

1.“Saint Michael’s Church”, Vithkuq, Korçë

2.“Vranisht Acqueduct”, Vranisht village, Vlora

3.“Brataj Brigde”, Brataj village, Vlora

4.“French’s Bridge”, Gjorm, Vlora

5. “French’s Bridge”, Poshnje,

6.“Tamara Bridge and the nearby Inn”, Tamara-Kelmend, Shkodra

7.“Maiden’s Bridge”, Klos village, Mat

8.“Benca’s Acqueduct”, Bënça, Tepelena

9.“Niche’s Bridge”, Miraka, Librazhd

10.“Mesi’ Bridge”, Shkodra

11. “Zoto’s Bridge”, Vithkuq, Korça

12.“Saint Mary’s Church”, Korça.
