The renowned Albanian painter Gazmend Leka returns in the Fine Arts Academy art-gallery with an unusual exhibition inspired by a picture realized by his friend from Pogradec, Anastas Kostandini, aka Taso.
Taso’s image is fragmentized, re-unified and transformed, always with the red shirt, the hat and the body slightly inclined toward the work in progress in 21 paintings presented to the public in this exhibition.
“I chose this title for my exhibition because it is dedicated to my friend, the painter Anastas Kostandini. Although I have been dealing with the symbol my entire life I chose him as the symbol of the artist. His image includes the strength of a painter who lives in a province but manages to transform it into a center, like Mitrush Kuteli or Lasgush Poradeci did long ago,” said Leka.
The ‘Taso’ exhibition will welcome the visitors until November 30.
