Tirana of 1930's in The Eye of a Painter

Some 33 works realized in the graphic technique illustrating the Albanian capital, Tirana, during the ’30-s, will be presented to the public next Friday in the National Historical Museum premises as part of an exhibition opened by the known painter Rakip Shabani.

This exhibition, titled “Urban Graphic Tirana”, presents the visitors with various part of the capital like the Tabak’s Bridge, the Old Bazaar and many others.

The painter’s artistic proposal comes in the framework of the city’s 73rd anniversary of liberation.

Shabani is a painter with a long artistic career, whose works are currently exposed in the National Gallery of Arts (NGA) and also in various exhibitions in England, USA, Argentine, Japan, Greece, Germany, Romania, Bulgaria and Italy. Many of his works are related to Albania’s history and ethnography.
