Prime Minister Edi Rama forewarns country's economic growth thanks to the 2018 budget and the new fiscal package. Speaking in Thursday’s parliamentary session that will see the discussion of 2018 draft-budget he used an optimistic tone while referring to the country’s future economic situation.

“The 2018 budget will set the basis for a further economic growth. The incomes increase at 2018 budget that goes up to 28.1 % of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is a clear indicator of this objective.

Likewise the 2018 budget will financially endorse a further decrease of public debt. The public debt will be lowered to 2.5% next year. Meantime the fiscal package will promote the economy’s formalization with minor cost through the reduction of Value Added Tax (VAT) threshold to ALL 2 Million,” declared PM Rama.
