Prose and Drama Author Anton Pashku Commemorated in Tirana

The renowned prose and drama author Anton Pashku was commemorated through a conference organized in the National Library premises in the framework of 80th birth anniversary. An exhibition dedicated to this personality of the Albanian literature was also opened as part of the commemorating activities. This activity was organized in collaboration with Kosovo National Library and followed a similar one organized on May 17 in Pristina.
Pashuku's textual will and criticism expressed through numerous articles published by the press were presented during this conference along with the remarks for his voluminous work.
Meanwhile a series of readings of Anton Pashku's work with Tirana's high-school pupils are expected to take place as part of "Meet a book" campaign organized by the Ministry of Culture.
Anton Pashku was born on January 8, 1937 in Grazhdanik, near Prizren and since his first publications in 1955 his pen remained the most unique and authentic in Albanian literature.
Prose and drama writer, author of various stories and novels like the well-known "Oh" and "Gof of Sinkopa" drama, he created and published a literature with strong modern features and deep psychological insights.
