The Democrat MP, Albana Vokshi labels the latest attacks by Prime Minister Edi Rama on the journalists as an attempt to cover-up drugs scandals. During a speech in Berlin in the framework of European People Parties (EPP) Women’s Forum she stressed that this tactic is being used by PM Rama to prevent the publication of documents that prove government’s ties with organized crime.

“The Albanian Prime Minister is repeatedly blackmailing the journalists trying to cover up the drugs related scandals and the government members’ corruptive affairs. The wire-tapping of the Italian police which have been made public recently confirmed the repeated denunciations by the Democratic Party (DP) along with those of OSCE-ODIHR related to the use of drugs money to buy votes and manipulate elections in Albania,” declared Vokshi.
