A unique collection of rare musical instruments, composed by 170 pieces, will be presented to the public next Saturday as part of a special exhibition that will welcome the visitors in the National Historic Museum premises. These instruments have been used in the Albanian territory during a period of time from 19th to the 20th century and include membranophones, idiophones, cordophones and aerophones.

Each one of these objects is part of a private collection owned by Ermal Sela and is the result of a 7-years work. Many of these rare instruments are no longer in use nowadays.

The exhibition will be followed by a catalogue that will include pictures and detailed descriptions of every presented object. The catalogue will also contain pictures of artisans that continue to produce similar musical instruments in the current days.

This exhibition will close its gates on November 15.
