The opposition's leader, Lulzim Basha labeled as criminal the Prime Minister Edi Rama attack against the journalists during a conference on media freedom organized by EU. Through a press release issued on Friday he appealed to the international organizations and foreign partners to strongly condemn the hatred language used by the Premier against media in Albania.
"PM Rama's speech was a clear incitement of hate against the journalists and a promoter of violence against them. The journalists are among world's most endangered people, often targeted by the organized crime and corrupted politicians. The clime generated by the chief of executive's speech encourages the criminals to attack the journalists who report and conduct inquiries on crime and corruption. Time has come for the man who used only laudable words while referring to Elvis Roshi, Sajmir Tahiri and other criminals' part of his entourage to put an end to the use of this criminal language," declared Basha.
He urged to the citizens, the intellectuals, journalists, politicians and international partners to denounce this criminal attitude by PM Rama.
