Zeljko Ivanovic a Montenegrin journalist, producer, human rights fighter, promoter of civil society reacted on Thursday against the speech of the Prime Minister Edi Rama held on the EU-Western Balkans Media Days Conference.
Invited in this conference, Ivanovic, reacted very irritated on Rama's speech, saying that this kind of speeches produce murders.
"First of all I want to speak for the speech of Albanian Premier Edi Rama. I believe that it is a scandal what he said. For 25 minutes, he spoke on the credibility of the media and journalists, while only 5 minutes for the importance of the media freedom. I felt attacked.
We are credible. But the problems are the politicians. For example, in Malta happened a murder, this kind of speeches produce murders. Same as here, the premier of Malta said to the journalist that they had no credibility and at the end she was executed by the mafia," said Ivanovic.
In his speech, Rama labels media as an institution without credibility for the spciety.
