Albania does not cease to impress with its wild-life variety. A series of camera-traps placed in the Albanian Alps, more specifically in Nike-Merturaj valley, captured the images of some of the rarest animals that live in this country. The wild goat, the brown bear, the wild cat, the badger, the beaver, the fox and Balkans’ lynx, a highly endangered animal on a global level has been captured by the camera-traps in the Albanian forests.
According to experts Nikaj-Mërtur valley is one of the most unique areas due to the presence of large and medium seize mammals.
Shootings of the wild life in its natural habitat was carried out under the project "Balkan Lynx Recovery Program" phase 4, funded by the MAVA Foundation and implemented by PPNEA.
