Tirana's Mayor, Erion Veliaj forewarns a series of public hearings with the citizens focused on the municipality’s draft-budget 2018. He made this declaration during the inauguration of Wednesday of the works for a district of the capital’s requalification.
“The public hearings with the citizens’ tradition that started two year ago will continue even this year giving them a chance to discuss and make suggestions in relation to the municipality’s budget 2018. Various projects will be presented to the citizens while they will also be able to make suggestions related to their priorities. Of course, not everything may be done at once, thus the citizens will be asked to direct our attention toward these sectors that according to them need a major focus during the next year,” said Mayor Veliaj.
Meantime referring to the district’s re-qualification, a project that will be extended in an area of 27 acres and will include a drastic intervention in the sewers and the lighting system along with the creation of various green areas, he defined it as one of the most transforming plans of the last 50 years.
