Hundreds of artists, musicians and groups from all Albanian-American communities as well as from all over Albanian speaking territories gathered last weekend in New York in the framework of 27th edition of “Nationwide Folk Festival”.
This artistic event, organized by the Albanian Catholic Church "Our Lady of Shkodra" at its headquarters in Hartsdale, brought as always new songs, music and dances while unfolding a multitude of national costumes from every Albanian speaking territory.
In this edition of the festival the organizers decided that the event should be dedicated to the 550th anniversary of the Albanian National Hero, Gjergj Kastriot-Scanderbeg, raising the curtains to his commemorative year officially announced by Tirana and Pristina authorities.
