The chairman of Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) parliamentary group, Petrit Vasili addresses a series of questions to the Ministry of Interior while denouncing the Mafioso attitude toward a businessman arrest. He denounced the concealment by this institution of the arrest and the fact that a sum of EUR 800.000 along with two boating licenses in the name of former-Minister of Interior Sajmir Tahiri through a public declaration on Saturday.
"Why there was a complete silence during several days by the Ministry of Interior on the seizure of this huge sum of money? The entire episode was hidden through a Mafioso way of doing by this institution. Does the ministry's silence serve as proof of involvement in this issue? Or this way of doing, in total violation of the law, aims to protect Prime Minister Edi Rama and former-Minister of Interior, Sajmir Tahiri? Is it possible that the State Police has been subject to pressure? Will the State Police continue to co-habit with the organized crime?" said Vasili.
He stressed that a clear and definitive answer on these questions would clarify the Ministry of Interior position.
"The citizens would finally understand if this institution stands beside them in the war against organized crime or beside Premier Rama who remains silent in front of the crime and his clientage," declared the SMI group chair.
