1.2 Tons of Cannabis Seized in Tirana, 6 Arrested

A quantity of 1.2 tons of Cannabis Sativa was seized by Tirana police during two blitz raids which led also to the arrest of 6 people. The successful finalization of these two anti-narcotics raid conducted in the last 24-hours was announced by Tirana’s Police Director Ardi Veliu through a press conference on Saturday.

“Two blitz antinarcotics raids, coded respectively “Suddenness” and “Attic”, led the seizure of 1.2 tons of Cannabis Sativa and the arrest of 6 people on grounds of narcotics possession and distribution. A fire weapon, two vehicles and 6 mobiles were also seized in quality of material proofs. All the arrests were carried on under the conditions of flagrance while the narcotics quantity was changing hands,” declared Veliu.
