The chairwoman of the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) Monika Kryemadhi, unveiled on Friday the reasons why SMI did not make an alliance with the socialists.
Speaking during the headship meeting of the party, Kryemadhi declared that Prime Minister, Edi Rama is the voice of the crime, while SMI choose to be the voice of the people.
"Everything forewarned long ago by SMI in relation to the government's ties with organized crime proved to be true. Known criminal groups that support "Renaissance" managed to influence the elections' result thanks to the police support. The Minister of Interior involvement in the international drugs smuggling is an unprecedented act. In a normal country the government should had already stepped down. Socialist Party (SP) may be a political force composed by 'twisted woods' while SMI has always been and remains the citizens voice, acting always in defense of a right cause," said Kryemadhi.
