The Minister of Defense, Olta Xhaçka inspected on Friday the works for the construction of a road in a remote village of Burrel. During this inspection minister Xhaçka met with the local inhabitants who thanked her for the interest shown for this area, adding that she was the first minister ever to visit this remote village.
“I had the opportunity to see with my own eyes the sacrifice you make every day to reach a health center or connect with the rest of the country. Believe me, this is not a political issue. I did not come here because this community voted for the left or right wing but because this is a community that deserves to be served as every other community all over the country. Despite the fact that this road’s construction is not part of the Albanian Armed Forces (AAF) tasks we are maximally committed toward this project which is a big help for this community,” said Xhaçka.
The 4-kilometers road that connects Selica village with the rest of Dibra district is expected to be completed within a few weeks.
